WAR VICTIMS A GERMAN FAMILY’S STORY OF CONFRONTING SOCIAL NORMALCY

by Anna Haman “Post-war recollections are colorfully and realistically described in WAR VICTIMS.  Anna’s strong character served her well in her life’s struggles.  Through her words the reader can easily visualize the people and place she writes.”- FROM MY HOME, NEVER TO RETURN: A Polish Child’s WWII Memoir.

“The protagonist was a great lady with a splendid soul.  May she rest in peace.  I read every word (of chapter 3)- it was that interesting and extremely well written.  PS I opened Camp Lance, Las Vegas, New Mexico 10/19/42”- Raymond Haber, DEVOUT JEWISH MAN of 89 years old, retired taxicab owner New York City.

“Having read all of Anna’s writing I know more about her than is in this book.  Anna begins this book background details on her parents’ lives, before she was born.  The book then traces her life from birth to her teen years, verbally fascinating, take us on a journey about her growing up, learning about life and secret moments while sharing  her thoughts, fears and perceptions about the world she lived in. Her prose makes her alive and admired.  It is as if the reader was a next-door neighbor or one of her best friends.  Her manner of storytelling and her descriptions of her adventures are neither boring nor dull.  Reading her words about growing up in post war Germany easily places you by her side, observing silently what she does and what she thinks.  You, the reader, are on a journey you do not want to end.  You want more.”- Dr. Bob Worthington, President of United States Pilots Association
