Day of the Dead events start Monday, run through Nov. 6

Altar De Muertos

Hosted by the Mexican Consulate in Tucson, an altar will be on display. The event is free and open to the public.

. When: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

. Where: 553 S. Stone Ave. Tucson

Day of the Dead Procession by Corazon De Tucson

Participants are encouraged to decorate their bicycles, dress up as skeletons and bring offerings for community altar and participate in potluck.

. When: Tuesday at 5 p.m.

. Where: Procession starts at Aztlan Boxing Club, 1631 S. 10th Ave., and ends at the Southside Presbyterian Church, 317 W. 23rd St. Tucson

Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit at La Pilita Museum

Student from Carrillo Elementary School will display their Day of the Dead art. Free and open to the public.

. When: Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

. Where: 420 S. Main Ave. Tucson

Dia De Los Muertos at the Pima Community College Downtown Campus

Events will include a sugar-skull-making workshop, music, and a short procession to view typical family altars.

When: Tuesday from 3 to 5 p.m.

Where: Amethyst Room in the Campus Center building, 1255 N. Stone Ave. Tucson

Dia De Los Muertos Exhibit by Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery and Workshop

Tucson’s Latino-based contempory nonprofit co-operative art galley and workshop showcases the work of community groups and individual artists. Free event.

. When: Wednesday to 6 p.m.

. Where: 218 E. Sixth St. Tucson

The All Souls Procession Organized by Many Mouths One Stomach

Procession will end at Mercado San Agustin for the grand finale with Flam Chen and other performers.

. When: Nov. 6; procession begins at 6 p.m.

. Where: Meet at 5 p.m. at Fourth Avenue and University Boulevard. Route is south on Fourth to Congress Street, west on Congress to the Mercado del San Agustin.
