Odyssey Storytelling- Presents Myths: Monsters Under The Bed January 10, 2013

Please join us for our next Odyssey Storytelling show:
Myths: Monsters Under The Bed
Thursday, January 10, 2013
Show at 7 p.m., Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Fluxx Studio and Gallery, 416 E. 9th St., Tucson, Still only $7
All good stories rely on the archetypes of myths. From Bigfoot to unicorns, Perseus to the Cyclops, the hero, the martyr, the warrior—the greatest stories ever told!
Six storytellers tell true, personal stories on the theme without notes.
See our website for information on this month’s storytellers! www.odysseystorytelling.com.
Since 2004, Odyssey Storytelling has marched forth entertaining, inspiring and enlightening Tucson through stories from regular folks like you. Get involved as a teller or a listening—stories that are not heard are not stories. All ages are invited, but stories are never censored.
“The great listeners live blessed lives, because they are surrounded by people under the influence of their listening – people experiencing a fundamental form of connection with others, people whose creativity and humanity have been invited to emerge.”   ~ Doug Lipman, The Storytelling Coach
Note that there is road construction on 4th Ave and on Congress so plan your travels accordingly.

GOT STORIES?
To submit your story for consideration, send us a one paragraph synopsis of your story and a brief bio about you.
The themes are meant to be interpreted from a broad range of perspectives. If you are shy about telling a story, we give lots of support and helpful hints. There is a rehearsal a week before the event to run through the stories, get feedback, meet the other storytellers and enjoy some munchies. More themes coming up:
February 7: When in Rome (2 storytellers still needed)
March 7: Not as Advertised (in conjunction with the UA Museum of Art)
April 4: Oh Gross!  The Juvenile Humor Show
May 2: Mommie Dearest, the Love of Family

July 11: Breaking Free: Stories of Disobedience
August 1: TBA
September 5: Big Bad Words: The B*tch Show
