BUSINESS, BABIES, AND THE FUTURE
Earlier this month we got a royalty report from Amo Noh in Korea on the book, 10 Things Not to Say to Your Gifted Child published by Great Potential Press whose mission is to publish quality books and materials, based on research and life experience, and to guide parents and teachers through the world of giftedness.
18 days later we received on Facebook the picture above of Amo’s new baby which arrived after 30 hours of labor. We’re sure Amo will want to use that book in a few years! We sent our best wishes to her and realized how wonderful it is to work as we do, knowing people around the world and trying to do our best for them and their future.
HELPING NOW AND FOR THE FUTURE
We’ve recently sold translation rights to 66 titles for ABDO Press which, with its five divisions, has been a leader in children’s publishing since 1985. ABDO has earned a reputation for providing the best in reading and research for children and young adults. Their goal is to bring new and exciting products to young readers everywhere, and each day they strive to provide educators with the information, service, and support needed to facilitate ongoing learning. They publish approximately 500 new titles per year.
Prufrock Press is where, for more than 25 years, teachers, parents, and kids have looked for exciting, informative learning resources designed for gifted, advanced, and special needs learners. In working with them we have learned how, in all parts of the world – with the Middle East as one example – publishers are anxious to get Prufrock’s type of books. In Turkey we have made sales such as 101 Success Secrets for Gifted Kids, Best Practices in Gifted Education and Philosophy for Children and in Saudi Arabia we have made numerous sales including Project Based Learning for Gifted Students, The Ultimate Guide to Assistive Technology, and Beyond Gifted Education.
AND HELPING CHILDREN SEEKING ANSWERS
Various ones of the publishers we work with have the answers! Here are two of them.
Boys Town Press, which works to meet the growing and more diverse needs of today’s children and families has books such as the series of Julia Cook which we have sold worldwide to places such as Dubai, China, Japan and Vietnam. Their books engage, encourage, and empower teens.
Veronica Lane has more than a dozen books that have sold worldwide, each answering a different question of “What Is?” on subjects such as rights, peace, love, and family.
So for all our readers, here’s wishing you and your children a great future and hoping we can help any of you who are publishers, parents or teachers with great, useful books.
