The 9th of November 2014 will be the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. But there are still 41 SEPARATION WALLS dividing populations throughout the world.
Over 2 months starting on the 9th, an innovative new media project called Connected Walls will focus on 2 of these walls: the US/Mexico border wall and the Morocco/Spain wall. Join us on the 13th of November at the Global Justice Center to celebrate the start of this project and to learn more about it.

Every 10 days, 4 local directors living on each side of these walls, divided into 2 film crews, will have to work together despite these physical and cultural borders, in order to create short documentaries about topics assigned to them by viewers. A hybrid of the diary and the independent documentary, those short stories will be daily testimonies about their walls.
The Mexico/US directors, Valeria Fernandez and Fidel Enriquez, will be present at this event as we screen their introductory work and discuss the project with them. Help them start their 60-day journey, and cast your vote for the next mini-documentary of the project!
Sponsored by Pan Left Productions. Kicking off the evening will be a special live-mixed video collage, performed by Pan Left VJ Steev Hise using relevant border footage shot by Pan Left members over the years!
