CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE WRITERS STUDIO STUDENTS. Dana Lise Shavin’s memoir The Body Tourist will be released this year from Little Feather Books, and a chapter called “Tell Me About Yourself” has been accepted by Lime Hawk Literary Collective. Dana was a student in Therese Eiben’s Online class. Kathie Jacobson’s story “Migration” is a featured story at Necessary Fiction. Kathie is a student in the San Francisco Advanced Workshop class. Andrea Marcusa’s essay “Of Sugar, Butter, Flour and Chocolate” is a finalist for the Dorothy Churchill Cappon Prize. Andrea is a student in Philip Schultz’s master class. Kathleen Kraft’s book of poems, Fairview Road, has been published by Finishing Line Press. Kathleen was a student in the NYC Advanced Poetry class. Rhema Sayers’ story “A Certain Lack of Interest” was published in The Literary Hatchet, Special Issue #8, and her story “The Train Robbery at Pantano Siding” was accepted by The Desert Leaf. Rhema is a student in Tucson’s Intermediate Workshop. Doug Sovern’s story “Indira” is one of Narrative Magazine’s Top Five Stories of the Week for 2013-2014. Doug is a student in the San Francisco Advanced Workshop.
