THE TAROT OF AWAKENING: INITIATION INTO THE KABBALISTIC WESTERN MYSTERY TRADITION

by Amy Wall

THE TAROT OF AWAKENING: INITIATION INTO THE KABBALISTIC WESTERN MYSTERY TRADITION examines each of the Rider-Waite tarot cards from a perspective of awakened consciousness. The Major Arcana are explored as important issues all students will encounter during their lives: loneliness, relationships, fantasy, inner and outer teachers and more. The Minor Arcana are given completely new interpretations as the Paths of Service (pentacles), Devotion (cups), Knowledge (swords) and Mysticism (wands). The Court Cards are understood as aspects of our own personalities that help or hinder us along the way. One reader commented, “This is by far the best and most informative Tarot book I have ever read. It’s like all the lost and real esoteric meanings of the cards have finally been found.”

About the Author

Amy Wall is a lifelong student of mystic traditions: Kabbalah, mystic Christianity, Tarot, Vedanta and Zen.

A firm believer in the importance of keeping at least one foot on the ground, Amy has a degree in Chemistry and a Masters in Business Administration.

Following a spiritual awakening with a Zen Buddhist teacher, she became deeply interested in applying the lessons of enlightenment to the western traditions. She selected Tarot as a symbolic system that best conveys this teachings in a non-denominational manner, suitable for and applicable to all western students, and spent three years studying the cards from the viewpoint of awakening or enlightenment. THE TAROT OF AWAKENING: INITIATION INTO THE KABBALISTIC WESTERN MYSTERY TRADITION is the result of these three years of study.
