PaperWorks- The Sonoran Collective for Paper and Book Artists

PAPERWORKS

The Sonoran Colective for paper and book artists provides educational and creative opportunities for all who work with and on paper and promotes the appreciation and enjoyment of the paper and book arts through regular and special events.

Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month 10 am to noon Murphey Gallery East St. Philips in the Hills Church Corner of River and Campbell Tucson Arizona
(no meeting June, July and August)

Annual Membership $25

Monthly Programs of interest to all artists with nationally recognized instructors.

Newsletter and Journal Monthly digital newsletters and a printed Journal featuring members work and helpful articles.

Workshops offered each year in various subjects such as book arts, mixed media, printmaking or photography.

Salons Small, casual mini-workshops taught by a member in a morning or afternoon.

Website with information about PaperWorks and a gallery with members artwork.

IOMH In-over-my-head groups are small interest gbroups that explore common pursuits.

The Barbara Lewis Book Challenge An annual challenge, named in honor of a founding member, for members to create an artist’s book to be exhibited and juried by PaperWorks membership.

WORDS ARE POWERFUL

An event for women writers and those interested in beginning or continuing personal or professional writing

. Step away from your To Do List and daily “shoulds.”

. Give yourself the gift of 4 hours to honor your writing in a serene and supportive environment.

. Bring a polished piece of your unpublished writing. Each participant will have 9 minutes to share and then receive helpful and motivating feedback. (@1800 words or 6 double-spaced 12 font pp.) You’ll come away inspired to be the writer you know you are meant to be.
Published Authors: Feel free to bring your books to sell.
