WITNESS TO MIRACLES REMEMBERING THE COKEVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BOMBING
compiled by the Cokeville Miracle Foundation
In 1980 a man and a woman entered the elementary school in the tiny rual town of Cokeville, Wyoming, with guns and a homemade bomb, taking everyone hostage. Then, the bomb exploded. What happened next can only be described as a miracle. Now 20 years later, teachers, students, families, emergency personnel and investigators share their recollections of that unforgettable afternoon- many for the first time- and how it has affected their lives.

Max Excell was the Principal at Cokeville Elementary School. He is the distant cousin of the author of “Pride and Prejudice”, Jane Austen! Angie Nostaja, a student of Cokeville, her ancestors came from Finland (at the time, Finland is under Russian rule).
Also, the badly injured Cokeville Elementary Victim, Fawna Eastman, was the distant cousin of the founder of Kodak, George Eastman!
Kliss Sparks was in Cokeville and also the distant cousin of Reginald Oliver Denny and the newest hero in the United States, Alan B. Hall! Hall gave his life saving a young girl in Florida and Hall came from New England!
I cannot believe how many survivors of the Cokeville are distantly related to future heroes, like Craig Pepin, Dennis Joos, Gary Michael Joy, Daniel Louis Parmenter, and the newest hero, Alan B. Hall!
