Rev. Amos L. Lewis Author- PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING, PRECEPTS & PRINCIPLES FROM PROVERBS, & THE BLESSING BOOK DAILY DEVOTIONAL

PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING, PRECEPTS & PRINCIPLES FROM PROVERBS, & THE BLESSING BOOK DAILY DEVOTIONAL

books by Rev. Amos L. Lewis

      A. L. Lewis Ministries is pleased to announce the publication of books by Rev. Amos L. Lewis

Wisdom is the master key to all the treasures of life.  Rather than opening one door, the master key will unlock every door in the building.  While others are struggling to get through the various doors of life, you will simply walk through them because you have the master key called wisdom.  Rather than bury several books and get a bit and piece here and there, this book is a compilation of wise sayings Reverend Lewis has collected or developed himself over the years.

PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING is a collection of quotes and wise sayings to help you in your personal and professional growth.

“Using this book is simple.  Open it up, pick a quotation, mediate on it, do what it says, and see the results,” says Sandra Scott of the Arizona Informant (9-10-2008).

PEARLS OF WISDOM STUDY GUIDE AND DEVOTIONAL is Rev. Lewis’ second book.  The STUDY GUIDE was created to help you easily navigate through the wisdoms contained in PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING.  The devotional part of this book, 31 DAYS OF SPIRITUAL POWER, is designed to help you develop a habit of getting into the Word of God on a daily basis.  Nothing will become permanent in your life unless you do it daily.

The PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING JOURNAL was created to help you keep track of your favorite pearls of wisdom and for use with your daily devotionals.  Each page of the journal contains an imp0rtant scripture and provides room for you to record your own thoughts and ideas.

The greatest habit in the world is washing your mind in the Word of God daily.

      PRECEPTS & PRINCIPLES FROM PROVERBS

PRECEPTS & PRINCIPLES FROM PROVERBS contains timeless wisdom for today.  This book is a creation and collection of wisdom by King Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest man who has ever lived.  Pastor Lewis has used a modern translation to help you quickly grasp the message of the Bible.  This devotional is personal, practical, and portable.  These precepts and principles will change your life for the better.  In each chapter you will find some pearls of wisdom from Rev. Lewis’ first book, PEARLS OF WISDOM FOR EVERYDAY LIVING.  in addition, you will find a prayer at the end of each chapter and some quotes on the value of pursuing an education.

       THE BLESSING BOOK DAILY DEVOTIONAL

THE BLESSING BOOK DAILY DEVOTIONAL is a treasure map to the gold mine of God’s blessings.  The nature of God will leap from the pages of this book, and you will get a bigger and better view of God like never before!  Jesus came so that we might have life more abundantly (John 10:10).  God wants you to prosper in every area of life (3 John 2).  This daily devotional will show you that God wants to bless you and make you a blessing to your family, friends, and everyone connected to you.

God is more anxious to bestow his blessings on us than we are to receive them (St. Augustine of Hippo)

Susan Lobo Author- THE SWEET SMELL OF HOME: THE LIFE AND ART OF LEONARD F. CHANA one of the “Southwest Books of the Year 2009”

THE SWEET SMELL OF HOME: THE LIFE AND ART OF LEONARD F. CHANA

Susan Lobo’s book, THE SWEET SMELL OF HOME: THE LIFE AND ART OF LEONARD F. CHANA (University of Arizona Press, 2009), written in collaboration with Leonard F. Chana and Barbara Chana was named by the Pima County Public Library as one of the “Southwest books of the Year 2009.”  Bill Broyles says “You want to know about the ageless life in the desert?  Read this.  It’s a joyous passport to the Tohono O’odham Nation…. The paintings and drawings of native artist Leonard Chana jump with life… they are pure delight.  And the text?  It bounces with the talk of real people, ones you’ll enjoy knowing.”  Ethnohistorian Bernard Fontana comments about the book, “Leonard Chana spoke, and painted, from his heart and deep cultural roots…  While THE SWEET SMELL OF HOME is about these quintessential desert dwellers, it is also about all of us who find ourselves joined in an enterprise we call life.”  And anthropologist Jim Griffith of the Southwest Center called it a “truly generous book… (it) gives us even greater access to the next-door but far-off world of the Tohono O’odham.”  Susan Lobo’s other book published in 2009 by Prentice Hall/Pearson is NATIVE AMERICAN VOICES: A READER.  This is the third and greatly revised edition written in collaboration with Steve Talbot and Traci L. Morris.  It is intended for use primarily in college level introductory courses in American Indian Studies, but is also of real interest to the the general reader.  It presents a broad approach to the study of American Indians through the voices and viewpoints of Native Peoples themselves.  It includes fifty-six articles, as well as poetry and art, comprehensive overviews beginning each part, and helpful appendices.  For more information on these and other books by Susan Lobo, go to her home page at : www.u.arizona.edu/-slobo/
