“Jonathan Skinner may save the world one poem at a time.

“The ecopoet, who reads Thursday at the University of Arizona Poetry Center, writes about the world around us, records sounds from nature to accompany his poetry, and is the editor of Ecopoetics, a ‘journal dedicated to exploring creative-critical edges between making (with an emphasis on writing) and ecology (the theory and paxis of deliberate earthlings),’ according to the publication’s Web site, ecopoetrics.wordpress.com.

“Skinner’s reading is slated for 8 p.m.  Thursday at the Poetry Center, 1508 E. Helen St.  And it’s free.  More information at 626-3765.”
